MILDLY HOT YEMENITE ZHUG
ORIGINAL YEMENITE ZHUG
Our red hot Zhug used to be 'the original' but
was just too spicy for some folks.
Noted by its red cap this Zhug is the bona fide,
real deal in Yemenite hot sauces and is not for
the faint of tongue.
ORIGINAL GREEN ZHUG
Green Zhug answers the need of those who
wish to season, and spice up their food with
green herbs.
Our Green Zhug gets its taste, colors and aroma
from herbs such as Parsley and Cilantro combining
Zahavi's famous spiciness with garden fresh herb
flavours.
SMOKED JALAPENO ZHUG
Zahavi's new smoked jalapeno Zhug has enriched
our palate to heights that surprised even us, the
originators of the genre.
This Zhug's subtle smoked flavor frolics and tingles
your tongue. It is ideal in sandwhichs, pasta sauces
and cooked vegetable recipes.
LEMOZHUG
The Lemozhug is a wonderful combination of our
original Green Zhug with pickled lemons.
The refreshing tartness of lemons joins our spicy
blend of herbs to create a full rich flavor.
Lemozhug is a perfect sandwich condiment, but
feels most at home when combined with tuna,
eggplants, cheese or Tahini sauce.
HOT GARLIC ZHUG
Imagine a pasty garlic based delicacy with a dash
of Green Zhug mixed in to combine the garlic's
natural pungency with Zahavi Zhug. The result is
nothing short of fascinating.
Garlic Zhug loves pasta dishes, assorted meat
dishes and the insides of sandwiches.
KALAMATA OLIVE ZHUG
Kalamata Olive Zhug is derived from our family’s
love of olive tapenades and our desire to spice
them up. Much effort was invested in perfecting our
Kalamata Olive Zhug, the result is a true Middle
Eastern merger between olives and hot peppers.
DELICATE HILBE
This delicately whipped seasoned Yemenite
delicacy is traditionally served as an airy sauce.
Our Hilbe lovingly combines the unique flavor of
traditional Hilbe with raw Tahini butter (Sesame).
Together they create a delicate spread that is
ideal for meat, fish or cheese based sandwichs.

The original Zhug known all around by its fans for its rich red color,

Our Zhug was conceived during an innocent phone call, when
a son asked his father, Boaz Zahavi, to make his Zhug just a
little less spicy. The outcome was differing levels of spiciness in
our Zhug. This one, noted by its red cap is not for the faint
of tongue.
